GUIDANCE
Welcome to the Maple Creek Middle School Guidance Page!
Meet Our Counselors
Ms. Knispel:
Welcome to Maple Creek Middle School! My name is Ms. Knispel and I have been a school counselor for the past 30 years. Prior to that, I worked as a Mental Health Counselor in the Fort Wayne area and I continue to hold active licenses in the areas of Marriage and Family Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. I enjoy being at Maple Creek and working with Middle School students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching soccer, reading and playing with my dog, Oliver. I look forward to working with you and your student here at Maple Creek. If you need to contact me, I am available at 260-338-0802, EXT. 7113 or by email at marlene.knispel@nacs.k12.in.us.
Mrs. Conner:
My name is Sara Conner (yes, just like in the Terminator) and I’ve been working as a guidance counselor for Maple Creek for 13 years. I enjoy working with middle school kids and helping them to navigate through these fun, challenging, and growing years! It is amazing to see the growth these students make in maturity, insight, and even height by the time they are leaving our doors for high school. We are here to help with any academic, personal, social, or emotional needs which could include schedules, grades, peer or family struggles, and even mental health battles. I want your student to feel comfortable coming to guidance if they ever need help walking through a situation or conflict. Some background information about myself is that I have a husband and a daughter who will be starting her first year of college. As a family, we enjoy being outside hiking, walking, or playing disc golf or pickle ball. My husband and I are active in our church community where we enjoy teaching the upper elementary age range of 4th and 5th graders. My office door is always open and I promise I will do my best to work with any situation that arises. If I don't have the answer, I will continue to look and strategize as to how to best resolve the problem. I strongly believe in the quote from Thomas Edison, "I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." There is always an answer or solution, it just might take several attempts to reach it, but that is where growth comes in for a person. Please feel free to contact me anytime you have any questions or concerns at 338-0802 x07112 or you can email me at sara.conner@nacs.k12.in.us. I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. I look forward to meeting all the students and families of the Maple Creek Middle School community. I hope this is a great year for you guys and I'm excited to be on this journey with you!
